Getting to Asia Land *airport mad-ness*

Went to sleep at 12 am last night and it was really cold and damp. I washed my hair but didn’t dry it and my parents are super cheap so the heat was turned down. The result is feeling sickly and having a sore throat. I woke up exactly at 5 am without an alarm but gave myself another 30 min. We rushed around the house trying to get all our stuff together. At one point my mother mentioned about locks. Thank god, I could not find my lock keys so Dustin and my dad had to use a wrench to remove our two locks. All the meantime my mom keeps saying didn’t you see the youtube video you can just use a pen it would do the trick. I THINK NOT. Got to the air port around 6:40 only to find out that our stupid travel agent didn’t pre-book us seats. The stress was building and I was PISSED. Finally we got on the shanty little west jet plan where we were informed EVERYTHING cost money except for your ONE cup of beverage and BITS AND BITES or a cookie. The ride was super uncomfortable and shaky and I barely slept. Dustin was far worse, he possibly has scar tissue from his last trip and his left ear just would not equalize. Now we are at the Vancouver airport waiting for our next flight and to get our seats switched since the stupid travel agent didn’t get us one. (we are not seated together) We wanted to eat at milestones but lunch is not available till 10:30. Dustin loves breakfast but I don’t. WE NOW WAIT. I hate waiting and I’m starving…..

~~~TIME PASSES~~~
Milestones was meh not the best, what can you expect from airport food right? The ciabbata bread was dry so I didn't end up eating any of it just the stuff inside. The turkey breast was cold and reminded me of sandwhich meat from the deli section at super store. We had also ordered an appi so by the end we were STUFFED to the max. Eating made the 5 hour wait a bit more tolerable.
 we were also fairly amused by the various stores after the check in point in vancouver airpot. *van airport is so much better then YEG*
 we boarded the plane and was ready to go.
 a candid shot. on the airplane before lift off
 the skies were super pretty
 First meal! I got the chicken and dustin got the pork. They were both delish
Japanese airlines has the best service!!! They kept coming by with soups or drinks. A far better service than CHINA AIRLINES.
My Master Cleanse Journey (from hell)
Day One:
Woke up at 11 and fumbled around to get my salt water mix. Tried to jugg it. Took 2 gos at it and wanted to throw up. Instantly I got really cold and felt nasty. Lets just say that salt water drink is A REAL GOOD LAXATIVE. Thank god for the close proximity to the washroom. Made freshly squeezed lemonade as per their recipe, at this point feeling nauseous already. Must have put too mut cayenne pepper because the drink was SUPER spicey. One serving down. At this point not hungry, just tired and cold.
Day Two:
Yeah I cheated had salmon and salad. Just couldn't do it! So decided to tweak it to a diet of lighter eating. Where I drink the cleanse juice for most of the day but for lunch and dinner have salmon and salad. Yes cheated already.
Day Three:
I repeated what I did for day two but still felt great. I did not work out hard during these two days. Felt so weak and cold the whole time.
Day Four:
Gave up the cleanse just ate less and drank lots of the lemon juice I made.
VERDICT:
I fail at commitment and cleanses. I didn't really loose weight since I quit after 3 days. Also you can a lot of weight back when you go off the cleanse.
Hello from Vancouver Airport YVR
The day has finally come here Dustin and I embark on our 28 day journey to ASIA LAND. We woke up bright and early @ 5 am and made it to the airport for our 8:45 am flight from Edmonton to Vancouver. We have a 5 hour overlay in Vancouver, hence why I have time to write a blog entry. I succumbed to hunger and had Milestones at the Vancouver Airport. Lets just say the food is not as good and the service was horrible.
OH WELL at least I am fed. We have about an hour and half left of waiting and then it is time to fly to Tokyo. The flight is surprisingly short at 10 hours. I will take some gravol and pass out.
SEE YOU tomorrow (time difference)
*SIDE NOTE: BC doesn't have horrible hst any more wooot*
Yeah Milstones, brunch to pass our 5 hour delay before getting on our next lengthy flight.
Airport food is never superb and I would like to say the Milestones in van airport is no different.
The last pic once resembled a ciabatta chicken breast sandwich but the bread was so dry and tasted old. Also the chicken was just a cold slab of meat. HORRIBLE. At least my fav starter tasted the same. Since we went right when lunch was beginning to be served there was only a few other people and service was decently fast but by the time we finished eating ... a shocking 1.5 hours (we re fast eaters) the service got laggy and slow and there seem to be only a few servers for such a large area.
airport food is airport food there is not much you can do.
