Going up the Tokyo Tower

So after our stroll in the Imperial Gardens (East) we decided to head to the infamous Tokyo Tower. (we were gonna go to Tokyo skye tree later since t it replaced the Tokyo tower for being the highest tower in Japan.

There was, looming in the distance as we approached it.

Yeah to all the vending machines which kept us hydrated.
There was some sort of Buddhist temple on our way there

We got to hear the chantings of a monk doing his morning prayer... or was it NOON prayer
So the funny thing is you have to line up to line up to get tickets. Thank god there are desserts on the way there. Japanese people have the upmost patience when it comes to long lines.
Our line to get into line

Once we got near the front I saw a beer garden... another way to pass your time

There was a lot of fish kites attached and flapping in the wind

So this little guy who looks like a pink condom is their MASCOT....He is super cool since he has sunglasses and what I believed to be an R kelly bandaid. Their mascot also reminded me of the movie CONE HEADS ( an alien movie)

This is another line to get up the elevator to the main observatory. I felt like a rat in a maze at this point.

going up the elevator... for a person afraid of heights I was getting really nervous and clam-y
They have a bedazzled pink version of the tokyo tower which really remind me of the Eiffel tower

Those are some shots of the view from up top. Yeah to HD shooting it makes everything super crisp. I was also fortunate to have such nice weather throughout the whole trip even at Mt. Fuji.
Got a coin made to commemorate the occasion.

There was a little expo of all these ping pong  champs and the upcoming pingpong tournament. WHY do they have to be so asian lol

We paid to go up to the special observatory and up here there is a section where its just glass and you can look down. QUITE scary actually.

Hahaha found a pikachu ride. However, people were shooting us looks so I didn't get to ride it =/
A trend in Japan is its MULTIPLE floors which is quite rare in Edmonton.
I just had to pose with the iconic figure

More to come for part to of going to the tokyo tower including the AMAZING food court, wax museum and yes an aquarium.
