In my fruitless attempts to get a glimpse of the emperor of Japan we went to the Eastern Gardens of his palace grounds. This was our first destination of our Tokyo trip and we got lost twice on the MRT. Note: Japan has such an intensive MRT system, at least 5x that of Taiwan's. In Tokyo alone there were multiple public lines and private lines.
Despite it being a nice sunny day it seemed like everyone was all bundled up. The sun was out and shinning but it isn't as harsh as the sun in Edmonton.
There was almost a moat like little area.
Yah I even threw on a leather jacket....despite it being 20 some +
They had some really nice garden areas and flowers. Since this was our first stop it was not stressful and actually quite relaxing as we tried to adjust our biological clocks.
There was a little building which shopped you small version of life size buildings.
I finally got a glimpse of the emperor. However, it was only on TV
This thing was a storage facility for food and ammunition.
Dustin and some large bamboo trees
A steepish hill where you walk up and you can get a better view. There were tons of police men riding bikes around the garden.
After a few hours of meandering around the gardens I was sweating up a storm and we decided to head to our next destination
