Sushi & Pho Attempt: Jasper Sushi and Noodle House

Not too long ago Dustin and I was looking for Duchess and since we both had the day off we went on a ADVENTURE down jasper and downtown. Unfortunately, Duchess was closed and we tried Famoso on Jasper and it was closed too!! Just our luck ! So we were dying of hunger and frozen to death (decided to use public transport to not have to park)We stumbled around and saw in the far distance a small shop that was open.
At this point we could have ate anything and we couldn't walk anymore.

The place as called Jasper Sushi and Noodle House : Japanese and Vietnamese Cuisine
The Exact Location is : 10107 115 Street NW

The menu was nice enough and since we were starving we ordered. At this point there was no one in the restaurant other than us and the owner. There was also a little kid running around she kept taking our picture. (I believe it was the owner's daughter)
The decor was nice enough the seats were not. It looked like they recently renovated as you can see the new floor and old floor. We ordered vermicelli and pho and then went for a roll of sushi.

Our food took a while to come even though there was no one else there. (two people in the kitchen) all the meanwhile I was pestered by the little kid. Dustin thought it was cute. I DID NOT.

The pictures above are our food. The vermicelli was ok but the toppings were not as good as I was use to. There was a lot of deep fried onions on top which contributed to my heart burn. The bon bu hue was spicy but had a really weird after taste. This was definitely not the same taste I have had at any of the other pho restaurants. There wasn't that much meat in the soup either but lots of green onion as you can see.

I didn't even take pictures of the sushi. It was poorly made and falling apart and the rice was too soft and lumpy without the sweet and vinegar tang it is suppose to. I actually got indigestion after this meal.

Overall, I would never go back again unless I was desperate. However just one block down there is Joeys ... =/ we should have just walked that one more block.
